Once a stagecoach stop, Mound City was incorporated in 1857 and received its name from the dome-shaped loess soil bluffs, which provide a backdrop for the town and the wide Missouri River bottom before it. Mound City also serves as the unofficial gateway to the Squaw Creek National Wildlife Refuge. Our Mound City team has years of experience, backed by the safety and dependability our customers have come to expect.
