A safe deposit box in one of Nodaway Valley Bank’s vaults is one of the safest places to keep important papers and items.  Enjoy “peace of mind” knowing that your jewelry and  heirlooms, as well as insurance policies and other hard-to-replace certificates and deeds are secured in one safe, convenient location for just pennies a day.

Boxes are approximately 22 inches long.

You may pay the annual fee in cash, by check, or by authorizing NVB to charge your account. The annual fee for your safe deposit box is tax deductible.

Keys

We provide two keys with each box; and we recommend that you keep them in separate places. Lost keys will incur a fee for all customers. If both keys are lost, we will have a bonded locksmith drill through the door of the box at the owner's expense.

Ambassadors receive a 3x5 box free or a $12.00 discount on any larger box rental.

Access

You may access your safe deposit box during normal lobby hours. We have extensive safeguards in place to prevent unauthorized entry, including a signature and verification of identity. The box cannot be accessed without both the owner's and the bank's guard key. NVB also provides the safety and comfort of private rooms for customers to use when examining safe deposit box contents.

Insurance

Safe deposit box contents are not insured by the bank or any federal agency. Check with your homeowner's insurance policy to see whether your insurance company provides coverage.
