A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

The fun times and experiences had with the Nodaway Valley Bank Ambassadors Club can't be justified with a simple description - pictures really tell the story of the beauty and joy found during our get-togethers. To capture the moment and share the experience with others, passengers may be photographed during trips and luncheons. These photos are for the promotional purposes of the Nodaway Valley Bank Ambassadors Club. We are also happy to provide you a copy of the pictures taken by our Ambassadors Club Coordinator if you provide us with the USB flash drive or blank cd.

It's 1948 and Daisy Wethan, a wealthy, acerbic Jewish widow, has just wrecked another car and her son Boolie has told her that is done driving and must have a chauffeur.  Boolie hires a thoughtful, unemployed black man named Hoke Colburn for the job.   In the beginning, Daisy and Hoke dislike and distrust each other.   But over the course of 25 years, the two grow to become very dear friends.  The dignified, good-natured Hoke breaks down the ornery old lady's defenses with his warm sense of humor as she teaches him to read and write.

PRICE PER PERSON:  $69.00 and includes round trip motor coach transportation with one bus starting in Maryville and one bus starting in St. Joseph, buffet lunch, and performance at the New Theatre.
