For the third year in a row, Nodaway Valley Bank has been named one of Missouri’s top three banks by Forbes. NVB was first named a Best-in-State Bank by Forbes in 2018 and is one of only 71 unique banks, representing just 2% of all banks across the United States to receive back-to-back recognition for three consecutive years.
Using independent customer surveys and online text reviews and public ratings, Forbes and Statista develop a sentiment analysis to rank the top financial institutions based on overall customer satisfaction.

After careful study, the bank is completely revamping its personal and business account offerings to focus on four unique consumer profiles; those desiring a completely free checking account, a basic checking account that pays interest, an interest-bearing account for customers 50 and better and a select account that pays higher interest on higher balances. All consumer online services are available for no fee on any of these account plans. Businesses and non-profit organizations may choose from three account plans based on their activity requirements with no fee for basic online services.
Nodaway Valley Bank serves northwest Missouri with ten locations in St. Joseph, Savannah, Maryville, Mound City, Platte City and Smithville where a new facility is under construction.
