What You Need to Know

What You Need to Know
A copy of the Social Security card or government issued photo ID is required for the minor. Interest will be reported to the IRS under the minor’s Social Security number.
A parent or guardian must be a co-owner and present to open the account.
Account automatically converts into a Traditional Savings account once the primary owner turns 18.
