Block Header

The block header is used to display a headline and simple content and buttons. It’s utilized inside many blocks that require a header, but can be used independently on a page at any time. Sometimes it’s handy if you just need to display some buttons or a quick blurb of text.

Buttons

Buttons are extremely customizable while being held within the constraints of the NVB brand. There are 4 styles of buttons; Solid Blue, Transparent with a Blue Border, Orange, and Transparent with an Orange Border. While the default functionality is to use buttons as links, there is an option to use a button as a trigger for a video popup. Buttons can have icons attached to them, either before or after the button label. While this is a standalone block dedicated to displaying buttons, the button editor is baked into a large number of blocks as well as the Block Header. There is also a button shortcode which allows you all the button options anywhere on the site.

Cards

Cards have quite a number of options available to them. You can have an unlimited number of cards and set the number of cards that will appear on each row, from 2 to 5. Cards can have an option image or icon. The image may be displayed as a banner across the top of the card or as a circle image. Cards can also contain a title, content, and a button. The alignment of card content is adjustable.

Card #1

This is a card with an image circle that is center aligned with an orange button.

The button will automatically be pushed to the bottom of the container to match the cards around it.

Card #2

This is a card with an image banner that is left aligned with a transparent blue button.

Card #3

This is a card with an icon that is left aligned with a solid blue button.

You can adjust which one appears on the left or right, the ratio in rise of the two, and even if certain elements should be hidden at various breakpoints.

Timeline

1868
Just three years after the end of the Civil War, George S. Baker opens the first bank in Maryville, Missouri on the site of the present bank at 3rd and Main Streets.
1873
James B. Prather and Theodore L. Robinson purchase the bank and re-name it Nodaway Valley Bank. A member of the Robinson family has been at the helm ever since.
1890
Original banking house is razed and replaced.
1893
NVB obtains a state charter, now the fifth oldest.
1934
NVB joins the newly formed Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.
1942
NVB becomes one of the first banks in the area to hire an agricultural advisor.
1965
NVB builds the first modern standalone drive-up facility in Maryville.
1966
Second banking house demolished and replaced.
1973
Second Maryville location opens at 1303 S. Main.
1989
New facility opened in Hopkins, MO (no longer in operation)
1990
New facility opened in Savannah.
1995
New facility opened in St. Joseph.
2002
Nodaway Valley Investment Services formed.
2003
Acquired Heritage Bank of St. Joseph.
2007
Acquired Exchange Bank of Mound City.
2018
NVB celebrates 150 years of continuous service to northwest Missouri.
2020
The bank’s financial resources top $1 billion.
2020
New facilities opened in Platte City and Smithville.
